What is Sensory Safari ?

Safari Club International began these presentations as displays to be made available to the sight-impaired and physically handicapped. These displays could be seen or touched by those who otherwise can’t access these animals. Imagine a blind or handicapped child being able to touch an African lion or crocodile.

The International Wildlife Museum of Safari Club International has generously loaned us over 55 mounted animals which we have been able to display at such events as the Idaho Goes Wild Expo in Blackfoot, the Top of the Rockies Expo at Mountain River Ranch, the Bannock Regional Medical Center/Bannock Healthcare Foundation fundraiser for their pediatric unit, the annual Blackfoot Elks Lodge Special Needs Kids Christmas Party, the Civitan Gun & Knife Show in Idaho Falls and the Sportsmen's Warehouse "Screamin' in the Tetons" Outdoor Show.

Our North American mounts were also a featured attraction at the Lewis & Clark show at the Museum of Idaho in 2004 and our crocodile was part of the Savage Seas show in 2006.

We had a great show with hundreds of kids getting a chance to see and touch the animals. This was a really great and enthusiastic crowd and a real joy to be a part of this educational activity .
